Dr. P. Srinivasa Rao, Professor and Principal

Principal Dr. P. Srinivasa Rao, Professor and Principal Kommuri Pratap Reddy Institute of Technology (KPRIT). Dr. Rao holds a Ph.D. in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and mathematical modelling of Engines. He served in some of the prestigious engineering institutions in the state of Telangana viz. Chaitanya Bharati Institute of Technology, Vardhaman college of engineering, and Institute of aeronautical engineering. He was formerly with Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) in Pune in Scientific Engineering and Computing Group (SECG) as a Scientist.

Dr. Rao's academic journey is marked by remarkable achievements. He boasts an impressive portfolio of over 60 publications in prestigious international journals and conferences. Furthermore, his expertise extends to inventing two utility patents and more than ten design patents. Dr. Rao is not only a scholar but also a dedicated facilitator of the learning process. He has organized and led 16 workshops, Faculty Development Programs (FDPs), and Skill Development Programs (SDPs), as well as four international conferences and two national conferences. These initiatives have significantly benefited the academic community, researchers, and industry practitioners. Dr. Rao's influence extends to the podium, as he has delivered 32 plenary and keynote talks.

With an extensive academic repertoire, Dr. Rao has instructed a diverse range of courses encompassing topics such as CFD, Turbulence Modelling, Aerodynamics, and Thermodynamics. His expertise has guided the research endeavours of four doctoral research fellows and more than sixty graduate students. Dr. Rao's contributions extend to editorial roles in international scientific journals, along with his service as a diligent reviewer for over twenty reputable journals from Asia, Europe, and the USA, including distinguished publications like SAE.

Dr. Rao's research prowess is focused on the application of AI driven modelling to understand mechanical and aerospace problems, computational physics, and turbulence modelling, including the intriguing realm of bio systems. His dedication to scholarship, leadership, and knowledge dissemination continues to have a profound impact on the academic and research landscape.

He is Fellow of Institution of Engineers and member of world-renowned scientific organization Signa Xi as associate member.
